These premium bonnet vents are engineered specifically for the Land Rover Defender. Built from solid billet aluminium and precision CNC machined, they are designed for strength, airflow performance, and a distinctive high-end appearance.
Design Philosophy
When designing these vents, I wanted something I would be proud to fit to my own Defender. I also gathered feedback from the Land Rover community on Facebook to understand what people really wanted from a bonnet vent.
Many aftermarket vents claim to be billet aluminium but use a separate stainless steel mesh fitted underneath the outer rim. This reduces the inner airflow area and doesn't fully utilise the billet material.
With the S C Engineering design, the honeycomb mesh is fully CNC machined directly into the billet aluminium, allowing the inner area to remain large while maintaining the standard border size. The result is improved airflow and a much cleaner design.
The edges are chamfered to catch the light and give the vent a 3D depth and premium appearance, while the honeycomb mesh sits deep within the vent to create visual contrast.
Although this design requires significantly more machining time, the final result is a much higher quality product.

This coating means you don’t need to worry about washing your Defender with strong cleaners such as TFR (Traffic Film Remover) or screen wash.

The coating is extremely thin but very durable, giving excellent protection without affecting the precision machining.
