Designed and manufactured in the UK by S C Engineering, these premium security door hinges are engineered specifically for classic Land Rover Defender models (excluding the New Defender).
Manufactured from high-grade 6082 billet aluminium and precision CNC machined to an exceptional standard, these hinges have been developed with one goal in mind: maximum security without compromising appearance, durability, or serviceability.
Unlike many aftermarket hinges that still leave exposed fixings visible from outside the vehicle, these feature a true anti-tamper design. When the doors are closed, no external fixings can be accessed or removed.

Key Features
Security-Focused Design
These hinges have been developed to offer one of the most secure Defender hinge systems available.
The second-row doors are threaded internally for a clean OEM-style appearance, meaning no bolts can be accessed when the doors are closed. Unlike exposed Torx or cap-head systems used on many aftermarket hinges, there are no external fasteners that can simply be undone from outside the vehicle.
The stainless steel hinge pins are also secured internally and cannot be knocked out due to the hinge design. Each pin features machined locking dimples for additional security retention.
The aim is simple: make door removal as difficult and time-consuming as possible while maintaining a clean factory-style appearance.
Smooth Operation & Long-Term Durability
These hinges have been designed to be durable, serviceable, and exceptionally smooth in everyday use.
Custom nylon bushes provide a precise fit with silky-smooth movement and zero play. Integrated grease channels and hidden grease nipples allow proper lubrication without affecting the appearance of the hinges.
The grease system also helps isolate the stainless steel components from the aluminium body, improving longevity and reducing wear.
Unlike many aftermarket hinges, these are designed so that shims are generally unnecessary during installation.
Cerakote Ceramic Coating
These hinges are finished in Cerakote C Series Graphite Black (C-102), a premium ceramic coating selected for its durability and chemical resistance.
After extensive testing, anodising was found to be unsuitable for vehicles that are genuinely used off-road and exposed to harsh cleaning chemicals. Many traffic film removers, aggressive cleaners, and even screen wash can damage anodised finishes.
